MUDRA is a mystical gesture given by temple dancers using a hand sign language. Elizabeth created the MUDRA in Brussels in the old studio of Rodin and took for her inspiration the choreography of Maurice Bejart. Her model was the Argentine dancer, Jorge Donn. The dance company is recognized as one of the finest ballet studios of this century. The first sculpture was cast at Mariani Foundry in Pietrasanta, Italy, and acquired by the Place des Arts, Montreal, Canada. When Donn died, MacQueen was asked in Paris by "Les Saison de la Danse" to create a Commemorative MUDRA. -Bronze sculpture, marble base
